Automobile Corporation Of Pakistan (Pvt.) Ltd. (ACP) was established in 1968 as a workshop for Fiat cars. In 1970 ACP introduced semi-trailers in Pakistan. ACP joined hands with Cometto Industriale of Italy for the manufacturing of semi-trailers. Semi-trailers were very successful and in the next few years ACP manufactured about 1000 semi-trailers.
In the mid eighties ACP started manufacturing fuel tankers. ACP is proud to have pioneered the construction of fuel tankers according to international standards in Pakistan. Presently ACP is the leading manufacturer of fuel tankers in Pakistan and is building the tankers according to ADR standards and according to the specifications of all the oil-marketing companies operating in Pakistan.
Other vehicles that ACP has developed are aerial platforms with insulated buckets, truck/trailer mounted cranes, car carriers, dump trucks, and municipal vehicles.
Another area where ACP has ventured is the area of specialized vehicles. ACP works with its customers from the concept design phase, and until the final product is built according to customer’s satisfaction. ACP has developed numerous specialized vehicles for commercial and defense purposes. Some examples are Container Tipping Unit for ICI PTA, 45 KL Aviation Fuel Trailer for Shell Pakistan Limited, Emergency Response Unit for SPL, Long Span Mobile Bridge (FMRB), high speed Tank Transporters, etc.
At ACP we are continuously endeavoring to develop products with latest technology, highest quality products and according to international standards. Pursuing in this endeavor, ACP is currently working with its clients on numerous new products, such as, LPG Tankers, Aluminum Tankers, Aviation Refuellers and Dry Bulk Trailers for the transportation of PTA/Cement/Food grain.
ACP is proud to be associated with leading manufacturer of commercial vehicles and specialized products. ACP is the sole distributors for Mitsubishi Fuso Bus and Truck Company, Japan in Pakistan. ACP is the representatives of the world-renowned heavy trailer manufacturer, Cometto Industriale of Italy. Recently we have entered into collaboration with FAW of China for the manufacture of Buses.
ACP is ideally located in the port city of Karachi, the Pakistan’s largest industrial city. Within Karachi, ACP is located in the port area. ACP has highly trained and experienced workforce.
